The requests are made directly to 4Montgomery’s Kids by the social workers, allowing us to quickly respond as needed. We provide a broad range of support that includes summer camps, dance lessons, bicycles, transportation , and computers. We have allowed children to participate with their friends, and teammates on field trips, overnight trips and sports events.
Our biggest expenses are young people who are aging out of (leaving) the foster care system. These youth have been in the foster care system for much of their lives and lack the support that is essential as young people move on to live on their own.
Critical for these youth, some of whom have become parents themselves, is housing and transportation. Women who Care will allow us to help pay security deposits, a month or two of rent, and transportation to get to work and/or school.http://www.4montgomerykids.org
